Highlights today included a brood of Pochard ducklings, a recently fledged Tawny owlet, a new Lapwing chick on winter flood and a singing Firecrest.
Highlights today were watching a Kingfisher sitting in reeds watching a Bittern that had just flown in and two Ravens flying over south.
A late Short-eared Owl was a nice surprise, as was a lone Whimbrel on the Cam Washes. Very pleased to see at least 12 Lapwing chicks running around the winter flood.
