What's on at Kingfishers Bridge this spring?

The Visitor Reception and Warden's Office is open with up to date information on recent sightings and County bird reports as well as access to our live HD camera network and information about up-coming and ongoing projects. Please call in and see us in our new accommodation.

Warden Walks

BBQ and Bat Walks

Once the weather improves we will be having free BBQ's with meat produced at Kingfishers Bridge; Buffalo, Highland beef and Venison, followed by an evening demonstration and bat detector walk with one of our licensed bat recorders.  For dates please join our Facebook page or keep an eye out on here and in the Maids Head Pub in Wicken.

Bird Ringing and Moth Trapping Demonstrations

Led by our own wildlife recorders these demonstrations will be running throughout the Spring and Summer as weather conditions allow. For up to date days and times please join our Facebook page or keep an eye out for notices on here and at the Maids Head Pub in Wicken.

Nest Box Camera Workshops

These free events will be held every Saturday afternoon from the 2nd April onwards.  The workshops will look at the different nest box structures we use and compare the camera systems available as well as discuss your own situation to help you set up your own successful wildlife camera at home.  The behind the scenes look at how our camera system works will prove interesting for any budding naturalist and technology enthusiast.
Camera Box building sessions may also be available depending on interest, although due to the cost of materials we would not then be able to offer these as free events, to register your interest please contact the Reserves Manager at jamespage@kingfishersbridge.org or visit us in the Warden's Office
