Woodlands

The home wood next to the carpark contains a mix of beech, other deciduous and evergreen trees .  The eastern block is being thinned to allow more light to reach the understory. This will also provide more room for the young Beech trees to develop.  For more information see projects.

A woodland strip surrounds the project, this is predominantly made up of  deciduous natives trees.  Fruit bearing trees such as cherry and apple have been planted on the northern border.  To the west it is hoped that a plantation of Poplars might attract golden orioles as the trees mature.
