We now have 6 Konik ponies to graze with the Buffalo on the Cam washes. They were kindly given to us by the Wildwood Trust at Hearne Bay in Kent. The horses will graze a much shorter sward than the Bufflo helping to great variety amongst the herbage on the washes, grazing with these primative breeds will also help to control the coarser grasses and rush. For the first month the horses will be kept on lambland whilst they become used to the site and me before moving to the washes in June where they will remain. I'll post more pictures as they settle in here at Kingfishers, we also need good names for 2 geldings and 2 mares, please let me know of any suggestions.
