We have spent the last couple of days making a large clay lined pond at the top end of the rough. This will provide a source of water to the washes in dry summers, and also as a Rudd breeding pond to have a ready supply of feed fish to the rest of the project. It is really important that we fill the pond quickly after completion before the clay dries out and cracks so that it stays watertight.
