Lizzie, Bruce, Owen and James building a log otter holt. This 2 chambered otter holt is part of our Higher Level Stewardship scheme. On the banks of the River Camb this holt should be used as a temporary home by otter families on their way up and down the river, if we are very lucky it may even be used for breeding. Otters can take take up to 2 years to find new holts, we have included tubes for infra-red monitoring cameras and I shall post any pictures on here if it is used. Of course, every job needs instruction!
